Here is where we will be placing material on various rooms or functional areas of a home, such as kitchen and garden and so on. Home is the place where homeschoolers do their thing, and of course it is also where home business takes place. It where one lives, often with one's family and pets. Some say home is where the heart is, some say home is where you hang your hat. Home can be many things to many people in many cultures. Home is an important place throughout the whole philosophy of Knotwork sites. From the start we have aimed at a system that can run from homes. We use the free operating system Linux and free software, so that Knotwork Sites can easily be set up at home. We ran them from home for many years. Now our main server is in the basement of a friend nearby (K-P's basement).

My home in theory ought to be my country-house in Sheet Harbour, but unfortunately my budget has not been able to include a vehicle the last few years so I have not actually visited my Sheet Harbour home for literally years. I have heard lately that it has been broken into and is being used as a hangout by local drunks or some such thing. Ouch. I wonder if any of the possessions I had stored there will still be there when I finally get to move back home to my home in the countryside?

For the past several years I have been associating with many many people who are doing, or at least trying to do, internet marketing from home as a home business but most of them do not even seem to have homepages about themselves let alone some kind of site about the community, locality, region, nation etc that they call home. Maybe we can start to rectify that.
