Halifax is the capital city of Nova Scotia, Canada. It is sister-city to Dartmouth, the two cities together forming one metro area. I have lived in Halifax since 1972, except for a brief period spent in Charlottetown Prince Edward Island. Halifax is a major port, with a huge sheltered harbour known as the Bedford Basin. Halifax is mostly a large peninsula with a large beautiful park at one end of the peninsula: Point Pleasant Park. Halifax has many colleges and universities and thus many many students.
