Dartmouth used to be a city in Nova Scotia, Canada. It was sister-city to Halifax, the two cities together forming one metro area. It is conceivable that an administrative change was made whereby nowadays all urban areas in Nova Scotia are considered to be part of a "Greater Halifax". Nonetheless, people still generally use the term Dartmouth to refer to that portion of Greater Halifax that used to be the City of Dartmouth and of course the fact that something is conceivable might not always automatically mean it is so. ;)
